2nd August 2005
today is a pretty enjoyable day, despite having two triple periods & lessons ending as late as 5.20 pm. the only thing that upsetted me was what happened in the afternoon (was just complaining to MG about it. obviously, it seems like the same problem exists elsewhere too…) i gave the students a 10-minute break yet they (around 50%) came strolling in after 10 minutes; the latest having exceeded break time by 5 minutes. gave them a good scolding & made the last two guys give me letters of explanations. they looked pretty remorseful, but what’s the point? students never learn from their mistakes, maybe they really like being scolded & i should do that more often? i realise that most kids these days really have no sense of urgency. they stroll from place to place, that’s not all. what irritates me is that they "treat the whole road like their ah gong’s one", totally oblivious of what’s going on around them, totally lost in their own world. maybe those are just about the few black sheeps we have, but it seems like we have more black sheeps now than before.
met my financial planner,B, today to settle some administrative stuff in the evening. i didn’t realise he’s staying so near school.
tomorrow’s wednesday! time flies! but thursday i’m gonna be stuck in school till 9+ pm on my big day. how sad… my colleague, MRW, was asking if i want the whole LEO Club to celebrate with me. no joke ah, 200+ students. haha… that’s too much of a limelight for me to take. weekends, wait for me!!!

Strolling-in to class? Nowsaday, so much welfare for the students?
But, then, they are supposed to be smarter than we were. so, maybe no need to spend so much time in classes. :p
