8th August 2005
half day today, we had national day celebrations in school. i didn’t really enjoy it, because i really can’t stand the sound system (maybe the structure of the hall makes it worse). there wasn’t any clarity, little wonder why some students drifted into their own world and started talking amongst themselves. but i must say the noise level was much tolerable than the previous year. i brought along my camera & took some pics, check it out!
after the event, my colleagues (LS, CR, DY, JL & KS) & I went to KBox at Marine Parade for a KLunch session (i just went to the same place yesterday! think one guy recognised me, he must have thought i’m siao on. haha…). we had initially planned to go cycling at east coast park, but it was drizzling when we left school & so the change in plans. the place was totally packed with students, i think the whole lot of them flocked to sing after the celebrations (like we did :P), so we had to end on time, for the first time.
after ktv, the few of us went to Parkway Parade (the sun was too hot for cycling; how fast the weather changes) & shopped around a little. i’m quite sick of shopping actually, not an activity that i normally enjoy. so i suggested go Ya Kun to eat half-boiled eggs. yummy! the last time that PP, KS & i were there, we chatted for five hours thereabout; it was incredible. keke. i like being in open-air places, nice for chilling out.
at night, i met my friend, J, online. i was pretty surprised to catch him on MSN as he’s away in Thailand backpacking. seems like Thailand is very popular with backpackers, one other friend of mine just went there recently too. i went to Bangkok after my YEP expedition last year, given the money to spare, i think i will go somewhere else. YT & i are planning for a diving trip next year, hope it’ll be realised.
